Personalized Education Program (PEP)
Welcome to the PEP Hybrid Program at Brilliance Academy! We are proud to partner with families utilizing the Personalized Education Program (PEP) Florida Tax Credit Scholarship to offer a unique, flexible educational pathway. Designed specifically for parent-directed learners, our specialized hybrid model provides a perfect balance: two mandatory days of in-person, on-campus instruction featuring collaborative group work and hands-on learning labs, paired with three days of structured, remote learning powered by our comprehensive web-based curriculum. Guided by regular teacher touchpoints via Google Meet, we ensure your child receives the rigorous academic structure and personalized attention they need to truly excel.
⏰ Attendance
The 2-Day Campus / 3-Day Remote Structure
Brilliance Academy operates a strict hybrid schedule to fulfill Florida’s 180-day compulsory instructional requirement:
-
2 Days On-Campus (Mandatory): Students attend interactive, face-to-face classes on their designated campus days for direct teacher instruction, peer collaboration, and proctored testing.
-
3 Days Remote (Flexible): For the remaining three days of the school week, students log into our approved web-based curriculum from home, completing a required 4 to 5 hours of active digital coursework per day under home parental guidance.
💻 Curriculum
Digital Curriculum & Virtual Tracking
Our hybrid model utilizes state-of-the-art digital tools to seamlessly track and validate student progress:
-
Web-Based Curriculum: Core subjects are powered by our approved, state-aligned online learning platform. The platform automatically tracks student logins, active time-on-task, and module completion rates to verify remote instructional hours.
-
Google Meet Accountability: On remote days, instructors conduct mandatory, live video check-ins via Google Meet. These virtual touchpoints allow teachers to provide real-time tutoring, review student pacing, and verbally verify subject mastery.
📋 Parent Role
SFO Portal Management & Approvals
As a parent-directed program, families must actively manage their scholarship administration to maintain funding compliance:
-
Invoice Approvals: Parents must log into their online SFO portal (e.g., Step Up for Students) within 3 business days of receiving a notification to digitally review and approve Brilliance Academy’s invoices. Delayed approvals can result in enrollment holds.
-
Account & Compliance Management: Parents are legally responsible for submitting the annual Student Learning Plan (SLP), maintaining a home learning portfolio of student work samples, and ensuring the student completes mandatory year-end norm-referenced testing.
